Terms of Service

1. What TAIL is

TAIL is a collaboration platform for college innovation programs — team formation, faculty review, mentorship, cloud resource request workflows, and event management. TAIL does not run AI compute, sandboxes, or cloud environments itself; approved cloud resource requests are provisioned outside the platform by your college or by TechTrapture.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for activity under your account. Student accounts are typically provisioned through a college join code or matching institutional email domain. You must be affiliated with a participating college to use TAIL as a student, faculty member, or institute admin.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or misrepresents its origin.
• Don't use TAIL to request cloud or AI resources for purposes unrelated to your registered project.
• Don't attempt to access other colleges' data or other users' accounts.
• Don't use the platform to harass, discriminate against, or misrepresent yourself to other users.

4. Cloud resource requests

Requesting a cloud or AI provider resource through TAIL does not guarantee provisioning. Requests are reviewed and approved at the discretion of your college's faculty/admins and, where applicable, TechTrapture. Any resulting cloud usage and associated costs are governed separately by the provisioning party, not by these terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the projects, ideas, and content you submit to TAIL. By submitting content, you grant TechTrapture and your college a license to display and use it within the platform for the purposes TAIL is intended for (review, mentorship, reporting, and — where you opt in — public showcases).

6. Availability

TAIL is provided on an "as is" basis. We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features described as upcoming or in development may change before release.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or a college's participation agreement with TechTrapture. You may stop using TAIL and request account deletion at any time.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
